National Consultant for Disaster Risk Management and Climate Resilience Mainstreaming Technical Assistance on Mainstreaming of Disaster and Climate Resilience in Rural Areas of Cambodia Cambodia Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development Project III (LASED III)

  The World Bank is looking for a providing a technical assistance to the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) to mainstream disaster risk management (DRM) in rural areas through analytics that supports resilience building of land tenure security, agricultural and social services, and small-scale infrastructure. The consulting services (“the Services”) is sought to assist RGC in DRM mainstreaming of communities planning activities conducted as part of the Cambodia Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development Project III (LASED III) implemented from 2020-2026.   The project activitiesinclude (i) Community DRM Mainstreaming and (ii) National Policy Dialogue and Advocacy. This Consulting Assignment pertains to Task 1Community DRM Mainstreaming consisting ofthe following sub-tasks:   Task 1.1. identification of candidate communities and development of the DRM and (a) resilience mainstreaming framework for rural investment. Task 1.2. Pilot-testing of the DRM mainstreaming and resilience framework in selected (b) communities.   The required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services include but not limited to:   (i) At least 10 years of professional experience in relevant fields such as DRM/climate change adaptation, community livelihood, social development, community development, flood/drought risk assessment (ii) Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent preferred) in a relevant discipline such as civil infrastructure engineering, agricultural sciences, hydrology, geography, disaster risk management, climate change, community development, or related fields and (iii) Relevant experience in completing at least three technical assistance projects of similar assignments with focus on hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and risk assessments and climate-screening of rural investments.   The duration of this assignment: is initially 60 working days, extendable depending on the project needs and performance, for 18 months from the date of commencement of service, which is tentatively planned in mid-October 2021.   For detail TOR at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xDmIhm34AyM18AHdTXZn0-jW3XgRhq7e/view?usp=sharing   Interest applicants, please submit your application to Ms. Socheat Ath, [email protected].
