Phnom Penh is set to come alive with the electrifying energy of K-POP as the globally renowned group Super Junior headlines the Global Life Sharing Charity Concert.
This high-profile event is being organised through a collaboration between Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism and the Senate’s Commission on Investigation, Suppression and Anti-Corruption, with the Global Life Sharing Charity.
The announcement was made by the tourism ministry on January 16, following a meeting between Mam Bunneang, chairman of the Senate commission, Kim Yong Hwan, director of Global Life Sharing Charity, and tourism minister Huot Hak.
“The event, scheduled to take place between May and October this year, aims to showcase performances by K-Pop superstars like Super Junior alongside prominent Khmer artists,” said the ministry.
The concert will be promoted in Cambodia, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines and China, creating an international buzz.
Its primary objective is to raise funds for hospitals and educational institutions in Cambodia, making it a meaningful event that combines entertainment with a significant cause.
“This project is a special event that the ministry fully supports. We will cooperates in all ways to make this project come to fruition in Cambodia,” said tourism ministry spokesperson Hun Dany.
In addition to its charitable goals, the concert is expected to drive tourism to Cambodia during the “Green Season”.
Dany explained that events like this play a pivotal role in showcasing Cambodia’s growing capacity to host international events while fostering cultural exchange.
The exact dates and logistics of the concert are still under discussion, with both Cambodian and South Korean teams working to finalise the arrangements.
“This concert will not only benefit Cambodia’s health and education sectors but also strengthen its image as a vibrant cultural and tourism destination,” Dany told The Post.
Super Junior, affectionately known as the “Kings of Hallyu Wave”, has captivated audiences worldwide with hits like Sorry, Sorry and Mr. Simple.
Their participation in this charity concert adds a star-studded appeal, guaranteeing a massive draw for K-Pop fans across Asia.
With its mix of global and local stars, the Global Life Sharing Charity Concert is set to become one of the most anticipated events of 2025 in Cambodia.

Dany noted that, in accordance with its vision and strategic plan, the ministry is always happy to cooperate with stakeholders, including from the private sector, to organise and create new tourism events which will attract more tourists to Cambodia.
