Young entrepreneurs will take their first step into the business world at Khraft's Young Makers Holiday Market at their Tuol Kork location tomorrow, November 30, from 9am to 12pm. The event will give youth a chance to sell their handmade items and learn about running a small business.
"We believe in nurturing creativity and fostering a spirit of innovation," say the organisers at Khraft, who designed the event to help children gain real-world business experience.
The market will feature stands run entirely by young vendors selling their handmade goods. While the specific crafts remain to be seen, the organisers hint at a wide range of creative products.
For many young participants, this will be their first experience managing money, interacting with customers and running their own booth. The timing, during the holiday shopping season, gives these young makers a perfect opportunity to sell their creations as gifts.
Beyond selling products, the market aims to create what Khraft describes as "a supportive community environment where everyone comes together to celebrate and encourage the efforts of our young makers".
The organisers welcome "parents, children and community members" to join them for "a morning filled with creativity, learning and community spirit".
Khraft (TK) is located on Street 313 at the corner of Street 602 in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district.
