In a bid to promote the government’s "Clean City, Clean Resort, Good Service, Good Hospitality" initiative, the Ministry of Tourism has kicked off an annual competition among tourism-related businesses and operators with the aim of boosting tourism standards in the country.
Participants, both public and private entities, compete in three main categories: Best Public Service, Best Port of Entry Service and Best Tourism Service.
The contest, themed “Best Hospitality in Tourism”, runs in three stages. From the date of announcement until September, tourism business owners can enter by applying at www.cambodiabesthospitality.org or by scanning the QR-code provided. Alternatively, they can fill out an application form and email it to [email protected].

They can cast their votes directly or use the online system at cambodiabesthospitality.org. Alternatively, they can scan the QR-code at any participating tourism service outlet to leave their feedback.
By March 2024, the ministry will; compile the results, after which they will announce the competition's winners.
The ministry highlighted that this effort not only promotes the nation's cultural traditions but also enhances the skills and efficiency of its human resources. The goal is to draw tourists and encourage them to extend their stays. It emphasises the unique charm and comfort of Cambodia’s tourist destinations, fitting for a country dubbed the “Kingdom of Wonder”.
