Cambodia and the Czech Republic have pledged to enhance their high-level exchanges and foster stronger trade and investment partnerships, benefiting both countries.
This commitment was confirmed during a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea and Czech ambassador Martin Vavra.
Both parties acknowledged the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, anchored in mutual trust and understanding, according to a November 8 press release.
They expressed contentment over the growth in bilateral cooperation and reiterated their determination to elevate their economic and diplomatic relations.
Chenda Sophea expressed profound gratitude to the Czech government for its support of Cambodia’s socio-economic development, notably in the education and health sectors.
He stressed the importance of diversifying products and urged Czech financiers to consider Cambodia as a viable investment opportunity.
Vavra reassured his commitment to fully leverage the existing potential between the two countries.
He highlighted the importance of attracting Czech investment to Cambodia, with a focus on healthcare and education through promotional activities.
Nuth Sambath, president of the Institute of Medicine, Biology and Agriculture at the Royal Academy of Cambodia, noted that these agreements should stimulate more Czech financing.
“International cooperation, especially with a developed country like the Czech Republic, will enhance our [healthcare industry]. It will also further the education and training of our health officials, allowing them to gain new knowledge and experience to better serve the public,” he said.
