A total of 11 people were killed and 26 others injured in road accidents across the country on April 13-14, as people travelled to their hometown to celebrate the Khmer New Year.
According to the National Police, on April 13 alone there were 14 accidents, leaving eight dead and 11 injured.
On April 14, the first day of the traditional Khmer New Year, three people were killed and 15 injured in eight accidents.
The National Police urged road users to respect the road traffic law to prevent accidents and needless casualties.
