AIESEC has announced that it will hold its major annual youth business fair in October. The “Youth to Business Cambodia Forum” gives young people opportunities to develop knowledge and skills, while building valuable networks that will prepare them for future success in the business world.

The international non-profit organisation aims to provide society and youth with activities and projects that are in line with the Global Sustainable Development Goals, with the ultimate goal of peace and fulfilment of human potential.

According to the AIESEC website, the event is scheduled to take place on October 28-29 in Phnom Penh.

“Youth to Business will provide a series of workshops, including panel discussions with experts and engaging activities designed to inspire and educate young entrepreneurs. AIESEC will provide young entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge and connections that they need to succeed in the entrepreneurship journey,” it said.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts who will share insights, strategies and practical advice on various aspects of entrepreneurship.

Topics discussed will include business planning, marketing strategy, financial management and effective communication. In addition to the Youth to Business education course, there will be a wide range of networking opportunities, as well as competitions.

The forum will provide networking opportunities for young entrepreneurs, students, educators and any other individuals interested in supporting young entrepreneurs.

Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) president Sok Touch believed the forum will be a valuable opportunity for young people to study, grow and build relationships with like-minded individuals and experts from all walks of life.

“Every youth should participate in the event. It is an opportunity to connect with young entrepreneurs, potential mentors and industry experts. They will foster important relationships, and learn how to integrate them into competitive business ideas,” he said.

Pech Bolen, president of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC), encouraged young people to join the event, as it will cultivate entrepreneurial ideas for the youth.

“We should not just talk about the success of this or that existing business, but should focus on innovative ideas for new businesses. We need to develop new business models. If possible, attendees should focus on businesses and entrepreneurs who contribute to the national economic development,” he said.

AIESEC Cambodia is part of the global AIESEC network of 111 countries. AIESEC Cambodia has more than 300 members, from 10 higher education facilities in the Kingdom.
