The Ministry of Health late on March 31 announced that another Covid-19 patient had died while undergoing treatment at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh, bringing the total fatalities from the disease to 12.

The deceased patient, a 56-year-old Cambodian woman residing in Veal Vong commune of the capital’s Prampi Makara district, tested positive on March 26 and was in critical condition since the first day of hospitalization.

In a press release, the ministry said the woman suffered from pneumonia and succumbed to the disease despite having been put on a ventilator.
