The Ministry of Health on March 19 reported another death from Covid-19, just hours after the second fatality was confirmed.

The third deceased patient, identified only as a 46-year-old resident of Boeung Salang commune in Phnom Penh's Tuol Kork district, died while receiving intensive care at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in the capital.

The ministry said the Cambodian man, who tested positive on March 10, succumbed to the virus attacks on his lungs despite having been put on a ventilator.

As of March 19, Cambodia had recorded a total of 1,578 cases, with 658 remaining hospitalised.
