The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has announced that starting from December 13 onward, it will transfer the responsibility for distribution of the Covid-19 rapid antigen test kits to the Cambodia Post.
“As of early December, the ministry has sold over six million test kits at cost price to people, ministries, the general public and private institutions,” its secretary of state So Visothy said on December 12.
Visothy added that the Cambodia Post would also provide delivery services with a small service fee charge if customers do not want to pick up the kits in person.
The Cambodia Post announced on December 7 that it would take over all distribution of the kits, both to government entities and private buyers.
There are two types of rapid test kits available. The first is the Korean-made Asian Easy Test which comes in boxes of 25 kits with a cost of $72.50 per box, or $2.90 per kit. The second is the Chinese-made Wondfo Test Kit, which comes in boxes of 20 kits for $40, or $2 per kit.
The rapid tests kits can be bought online through mptc.gov.kh/rt or purchased in person at the Cambodia Post headquarters near Wat Phnom in the capital’s Daun Penh district.
