The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has announced the resumption of its tourist visa and visa exemption programme after a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a letter dated October 20 and addressed to foreign embassies and consulates, foreign minister Prak Sokhonn said the resumption is based on the improving Covid-19 situation in Cambodia which has enabled the government to reopen the country in the context of Covid-19 whereby businesses and the general public adjust to the new normal.
“The Royal Government of Cambodia has eased visa conditions and quarantine requirements by resuming the issuance of Tourist Visa which had been suspended after the outbreak of Covid-19 ... The government also resumes the Visa Exemption programme,” Sokhonn said in the letter.
He said the government also resumes e-Visa application to ease the process for travellers to Cambodia, but Visa on Arrival remains closed.
