The Ministry of Health on April 16 reported another 262 Covid-19 cases linked to the February 20 community outbreak.

The ministry also logged two more deaths, bringing the toll to 38. The latest deceased patients are Cambodian men aged 65 to 77.

Among the latest positive cases are one Chinese and one Vietnamese nationals; the rest are Cambodians including three children aged 3 to 13.

Phnom Penh recorded the majority of cases at 232, followed by Preah Sihanouk at 12; Kandal at four; two each in Prey Veng, Pursat, Siem Reap, Takeo and Kampong Cham; and one each in Kampong Speu, Kampong Thom and Svay Rieng.

The ministry also reported 74 recoveries, all but two of which were linked to the February 20 outbreak.

As of April 16, Cambodia had recorded a total of 5,480 Covid-19 cases with 3,044 receiving ongoing treatment and 38 confirmed fatalities.
