A road traffic accident claimed four lives and caused injuries to three others in Phnom Penh’s Russey Keo district on the evening of January 20.
Phnom Penh Police said that the accident was caused by a pickup truck driven by a drunk driver, who is reportedly an official at a government institution.
The pickup damaged two other cars and four motorbikes, killing four at the scene and leaving three injured.
Police said the driver's blood alcohol was measured at 0.54, far beyond the legal limit.
