Prime Minister Hun Sen on June 19 announced that he had been indirectly exposed to Covid-19 and would continue to quarantine until June 27. Hun Sen first placed himself in isolation on June 13.

He said this has prompted him to cancel all planned in-person and virtual meetings, including one with British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab scheduled for June 23.

“Although the meetings with Cambodian and foreign guests have been cancelled, I will continue to work as usual with [government] institutions and the armed forces via Zoom, during which no one can come close to me,” he said.
