Cambodia hosted the fifth ASEAN+3 Clean Energy Roundtable Dialogue on November 4 on the theme “Ramping up Renewable Energy under Low Carbon Transition Pathway of ASEAN” as part of the Kingdom’s duties as ASEAN chair this year.

The roundtable was held online and led by Victor Jona, undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, with the participation of other senior officials from ASEAN member states, ASEAN officials and development partners.

The Ministry of Mines and Energy said in a social media post that the roundtable touched on four agenda items: Development of energy policy in ASEAN; clean energy studies and the contribution of renewable energy to society and the environment; ASEAN countries policies for low-carbon development and discussions on interim planning among ASEAN members on these issues.
