A Battambang court requested that Serei Kosal, senator and military advisor for

the Funcinpec leader, be stripped of his immunity in relation to an alleged land

fraud in 1995. Kosal, former deputy governor of Battambang, dismissed the allegations.

He said the prosecutor was "rude" and claimed he had evidence to prove

the prosecutor was unhappy that Kosal had not granted him land ownership.
