Laos, Cambodia prime ministers agree to boost economic drivers

Laos, Cambodia prime ministers agree to boost economic drivers

Prime Minister Hun Sen and his Laotian counterpart Phankham Viphavanh agreed to boost bilateral cooperation on trade, tourism, energy and connectivity, as the two prime ministers of the neighboring countries regard these sectors as key to boosting bilateral trade.

Hun Sen and Phankham Viphavanh met on November 10 in Phnom Penh on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit.

Following the meeting, Hun Sen’s official social media channel said that that both prime ministers had discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and offered their appreciation for their mutual cooperation.

“Both leaders agreed to boost the cooperation to another level in the sectors of trade, tourism, energy, and connectivity, which are the drivers for pushing economic growth between the two countries,” it said.

Both leaders also said that they would work together to promote ASEAN unity and centrality.
