The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has set November 14 as the date for this year’s high school exams. Students will be able to submit their applications – through their high schools – for the entirety of the month of May.
In an instruction issued and signed by Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron on March 31, obtained by The Post on April 8, the ministry said the announcement was made to ensure the principles of law, justice, and transparency, and to ensure acceptable planning and results for the exams.
The letter informed capital and provincial education department directors to list each of the exam centres that were available to host the exams. Each testing centre must meet a set of requirements in order to host the exams, including proximity to private and state schools in as many provincial towns as possible.
The ministry said assessment and correction of the exams will take place at the Phnom Penh correction centre from November 19-23.
Phnom Penh and Kandal province results are expected to be announced on December 6, while the 23 remaining provinces can expect their results the following day.
