Fifty more people in Svay Rieng province – mostly workers at three factories including A&J Cambodia, UT Light and You Li – have tested positive for Covid-19, the provincial administration announced on May 28.
Of the 50, it said 40 are from You Li and five from UT Light and A&J.
It was not immediately clear if the You Li workers have contracted the virus from any of the A&J workers, who on May 26 stormed out of their factory for fears of contracting the virus from their peers.
The provincial administration urged those who have been in contact with the latest positive cases to come forward for testing and self-quarantine.
