Siem Reap provincial authorities have decided to extend the lockdown of Varin village in Varin district and commune for another week through October 1 after many Covid-19 cases were detected.

In a notice dated September 24, provincial governor Tea Seiha told relevant authorities to enforce restrictions in the village, which has been designated as red zone since September 17.

On September 25, the provincial administration also extended the lockdown of two villages – Kampong and Sormor – in Chikreng district and commune for one more week through October 2.
