After the government imposed nationwide Covid-19 restrictions to stem the new coronavirus Delta variant, Tbong Khmum province has begun enforcing them with a night-time curfew effective through August 12.
In a notice dated July 29, the provincial administration said all travels are banned and residents are barred from leaving their home between 9pm and 3am.
All non-essential businesses including entertainment venues such as beer gardens and nightclubs are suspended and gathering for drink is strictly prohibited.
Public gathering with more than 10 people is also banned, unless permitted by authorities.
“All restaurants and cafeterias can operate but only for takeaway orders,” said the notice.
Businesses which do not pose high risks of transmission can still operate with permission from authorities but must adhere to Covid-19 preventive measures.
