A criminal's short-lived and less-than-spectacular bid for freedom ended on Sunday not all that far from where it started in Sihanoukville.

Police said the man had carried out a robbery in the beach town’s Steung Hauv district then made a break for it … to the bus station, where he bought a ticket and waited for the next departure to Koh Kong.
