Police at a checkpoint in Svay Rieng’s Svay Tiep district got a scare on Monday when a wayward car took out three traffic cones and a police-issue traffic baton at the vehicle stop.

According to the police, when the driver, who is a teacher, and the passenger, a farmer, stepped out of the car, it was obvious they had been drinking.

The men also allegedly threatened to burn down the police station after they were detained. Undeterred, police sent them on to court.
