A 20-year-old man didn’t take kindly to being shushed by his friend on Monday in the capital’s Por Sen Chey district during a drinking session.

Despite the beers, the man’s friend had the presence of mind to try to keep the suspect’s noise in check to avoid riling up the neighbours.

The only thanks he got, though, was a beating with an iron bar. The bruised victim awoke the next morning and notified police, who hauled the suspect away.
