Prime Minister Hun Manet was welcomed by his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim on his one-day official visit to Malaysia on February 27.
The two prime ministers will discuss political security, trade and investment, tourism, labour, the halal food industry, ICT and digital technology, as well as energy security, in alignment with the reciprocal interests of both nations, said a Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation press release.
In addition to his meeting with Ibrahim, Manet will be granted a Royal Audience with Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, the King of Malaysia, and will also meet with Malaysia’s Senate president Datuk Mutang Tagal and speaker of Parliament Johari bin Abdul.
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation on a digital banking system (KHQR) will also be signed during the visit, added the release.
